Eleusinian Mysteries

It is an ironic testimony to the loyalty of the initiates that there is little, if any agreement, on exactly what the inner meaning of the Eleusian mysteries was.
The Elysian fields were written by the Greeks as existing in the ‘underworld’ and were said to be the final resting place for the souls of the worthy, but the truth is that the actual meaning of the mysteries themselves has been lost to us. http://www.ancient-wisdom.co.uk/eleusianmysteries.htm

Όλες αυτές οι “Άγιες” πέτρες , κάτω απ’ τον μπλε ουρανό , ανάμεσα στο χορτάρι και τις εφήμερες παπαρούνες , δίπλα στην θάλασσα …

I love the images with the poppies standing out against the background, they add a bright touch and make the compositions more interesting and original. The last image is a gem!
